Annual House Camp

2022 Theme:

“The Faith that We Share”

Reflections from Paul’s Letter to Titus

Tyler Van Fossen:

House Camp is an intersection of so many wonderful things and after only two years or working here, I am convinced it reveals the rich DNA of New Covenant so beautifully. Getting away with students and staff to not just speak Community, but to live it out in a beautiful context— the mountains. Word, Prayer, Shared Meals, a balance of relaxation and Games and activities... I don’t think we’ll ever truly understand just how formative and memorable this time is... and I am fine with that— can’t wait till next year.

Some Student Reflections On This Year’s House Camp

Lauren Landis:

This years house camp was one of my favorite few days ever! It was so fun to spend time with friends and I laughed so much that my stomach now hurts to laugh! I loved all the activities and learned from the meetings a lot as well! It was so nice to see all of us together like one big happy family!

Emma Jordan:

Out of all of my house camp years I'm glad this one was my last. It was so much fun even though my house didn't win everything. I really enjoyed making the sticky note art with my house, talking to all of my friends during meal times, and playing ping pong during free time. All the activities were really fun especially mission impossible. I think my most favorite part though was on my last night when a bunch of the seniors played mafia together with Mr. Van Fossen and Mr. Barton.

Carley Shore:

House Camp had been an experience that I have looked forward to every year since 8th grade. It is a time of fellowship, spiritual growth, physical growth, and rest from the rigorous studies at New Covenant. Though I've struggled with injuries most of my years, my time at camp has never been bad because of the amazing teachings, chaperones, and camp staff. I am so sad that my years at House camp are over but I am looking forward to hearing about all the wonderful adventures from younger house mates!
