Mrs. Paula Wyse Announces Her Retirement
It is with a certain amount of shock and disbelief that New Covenant School will start the 2018-2019 school year without Mrs. Wyse as our second grade teacher. However, it is with the satisfaction of a job well done that we proudly announce with Mrs. Paula Wyse is set to retire at the end of this school year.
New Covenant School was started in 1999 and in 2003 we added a second grade class for the first time. We were blessed to hire an overqualified member of New Covenant Church, Mrs. Paula Wyse to teach that first second grade class and ever since she has poured her life and soul into the lives our students. Whether it be helping students transition from using readers to reading chapter books, learning cursive, or the organizing of an annual Dino and Dragon Day, Mrs. Wyse has done everything with professionalism and attention to detail that make her a great teacher.
In this final month of the school year, we encourage all current and former New Covenant School families to take a moment to thank Mrs. Wyse for her service to our school. While we know the LORD will provide, it is going to take a special teacher to follow in the footsteps Mrs. Wyse has left behind. And Mr. Canney would like to assure the NCS community that Miss Viola Swamp is not being considered for the second grade position. =)
Thank you Mrs. Wyse! You have blessed more children in many more ways than you will ever know! God bless you!
