Future Cavalier Stars Sharpen Skills at NCS Sports Camps

This year’s girls basketball and volleyball camp combined lots of fun and hard work as some of our future Lady Cavaliers were introduced to the important rules of the game, value of teamwork, and vital skills necessary to help them become successful competitors in the near future. The girls energy and excitement was obvious as they made the best of this opportunity to sharpen their skills and build some sweet fellowship.

The first ever boys basketball camp was a great success! My name is Ben Mathews, and I had the privilege of being one of four coaches to help with the camp. Miles Miller, Will Hardy, Zeke Gibson, and myself had a great time helping these young kids to enjoy the game of basketball and working with them to develop basic skills. We used exciting drills to accomplish this and the campers loved every minute of it! They learned to dribble, shoot, pass, and much more. My favorite memory of the camp was on the last day when the boys had a final scrimmage. You could see how much each one of them improved and was enjoying the game of basketball. We were glad to bring the first ever boys basketball camp to New Covenant School and we hope to have many more in the future for our upcoming New Covenant Cavaliers!
