Dr. John E. Doster, M.D.

Senior partner and New Covenant School parent Dr. John Doster joined the Anderson Area Cancer Center in 1996 because he wanted to offer patients struggling with this difficult disease Victory Over Cancer. “I knew from my first exposure to cancer patients during medical school that I wanted to serve this particular population. There was something special about the spirit of those fighting cancer.” The ministry of AACC was the first oncology practice in Anderson, and until 2014 was the only practice in Anderson dedicated to the care of patients with cancer and blood disorders.

AACC remains an independent practice dedicated to putting the needs of patients first. The practice’s independence enables them to devote themselves to treating patients as distinct individuals, crafting care that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. Among the comprehensive services offered are full laboratory services, complete infusion services by oncology certified nurses, a retail pharmacy, financial counseling and assistance, education and survivorship classes, nutritional services, counseling, and genetic services.

Through the years AACC has established and cultivated close relationships with leading local and national cancer specialists, including Duke University, M.D. Anderson, Emory University, and MUSC in Charleston, and benefits from advice, professional development, and assistance in the care of patients offered by these front-line cancer fighting institutions.

Dr. Doster has been a part of the NCS family since enrolling his daughter, current 8th grade student Delilah, in our PK2 program. His stepson Zeke also graduated from NCS in 2021. He said he believes strongly in out mission to present every student complete in Christ. When we consider the parallel between the wholistic mission of AACC and the complete mission of NCS, it’s easy to understand why Dr. Doster and AACC are such complimentary and supportive partners in ministry. Dr. Doster says “We realize that nobody wants to need the services of a canc enter, but we consider it a privilege and honor to dedicate our lives to serve the people and their families who need our help.
